Why did you join the SK, and did you choose the Blews specifically?: I joined up two years ago because my boyfriend had been pestering me to do so, and I didn't fancy the idea of him going off every other weekend in summer and leaving me at home. So I joined his regiment (the Blews), and have loved it ever since. I must admit, I wasn't sure I would like it, I thought it would be full of testosterone-pumped 20-something males. Well, yes, there is that element of it, but there really is something for everyone.

What do you like about the regiment / Sealed Knot: I love the fact that there's a really wide range of people from loads of backgrounds, and we all get on with each other. I love having something different to do on those summer Bank Holiday weekends. I love firing my gun! I love the fantastic social element of it, which also carries on off the field, with other events for us all like airsoft or just meeting up in a pub somewhere.

What you dislike about the regiment / Sealed Knot: Chemical toilets! Although I've learnt to live with them which I never thought I would. Hangovers. Well, yes, they're applicable anywhere, but I seem particularly prone to them on the second day of a muster weekend.

Advice for new / prospective members: If you're not sure, come along anyway. You'll find something you like, there are a lot of different roles and people always find somewhere to fit in. Join the musket!! You can go BANG.
